In the process of planning, we came up with a few ideas for our movie which are as follows:
1) a Romantic Comedy about harsh break ups. However, we felt that this would not be practical because we don't have very many actors who are willing to participate in the film.
2) a Romantic Comedy about a college reunion where a girl who used to be made fun of turns out rich and successful and the boy who made fun of her turned out to be very unsuccessful. We decided against this because again, we lacked actors and the set would cause complications.
3) a Comedy about a girl who mysteriously falls asleep spontaneously and tries to figure out how to stop it. This is the concept we chose because we thought the trailer could be a simple montage of her falling asleep and perhaps a clue to the audience that the sleeping is caused by something sort of supernatural. We wanted to go for a slightly magical element in the story because the idea about falling asleep spontaneously sounds like the disease called narcolepsy and therefore we wanted to be careful not to offend those who are sensitive to this.
